We had been using the small handheld Oreck vacuum for 4 years and were really pleased with it. Like all appliances, these things wear out over time and so I was really excited to find the Oreck Edge machine for $100 less on Amazon than it was advertised at the local Oreck store. While it is a fine product, i was slightly dissapointed in a couple of areas. The expandable hose and long extension wand seem to be a bit shorter than the model we replaced and it will take some getting used to. Also, the way the sholder strap attaches to the machine makes it a bit uncomfortable when carring it under your arm with the strap over your sholder. It is louder than the other model also. On a strong plus side, the bag is much larger than the other model.Other than that, it has all of the fine Oreck characteristics that one expects from this company. All of these issues are small and I'm sure that by using the machine regularily I won't notice them after a while.

i bought one of these then bought another because i loved it,, the suction is amazing,, only concern is bags are expensive,, but otherwise love love love it,,,

I just got this little vacuum a few days ago. It does the job great, it's quiet, not too heavy and has good quality attachments. I bought it to replace my little other canister that came with my upright. The upright works gets, but the included canister didn't have much suction. This little Oreck is AWESOME!!
